Setting up email in Gmail

Gmail can be set up like a normal email client like Microsoft Outlook or Mac Mail but secure and online and available on all your devices.

Firstly you need to set up your Gmail to be able to recieve your emails from our Server.  When we set up your email mailbox we will have emailed you your settings for setting up your email client.  If you do not have these details, please contact us.

Setting up your Settings in Gmail

  1. When you are in the main window of Gmail, click on the Settings Icon on the top right and choose "Settings"

  2. When you are in the "Settings" section, click on the "Accounts and Import" tab.   In here Click on the "Add a mail account" option in the "Check mail from other accounts:" section.

  3. A yellow wizard window will appear, type your email and click Next

  4. Choose "Import emails from my other account (POP3)" and click Next

  5. Use the following information

    Username: Your full Email address
    Password: You would have recieved this seperatly from us
    POP Server: mail.yourdomain (ie.
    Port: 995
    Check: "Always use a secure connection (SSL) when retrieving mail.
    Check: "Leave a copy of retrieved message on the server" (Important: This setting ensures that you can still retrieve the message in your mac mail or microsoft outlook or other email client software, if you are not using another email client software you can leave this unchecked)

    Click Add Account

  6. Your mail has now been added.  The wizard will then move into Setting up the account to be able to send emails. Choose Yes, I want to be able to send mail as your email and click Next

  7. Put your full name in the Name field or Company Name.  Ensure "Treat as an alias" is not checked and click Next Step

  8. Use the following information

    SMTP Server: mail.yourdomain (ie.
    Username: Your full email address
    Password: You would have recieved this seperatly from us
    Port: 465
    Check: "Secured connection using SSL (recommended)"

    Click Add Account

  9. To ensure you own the email address you are adding, Google will email a confirmation code to the address.  You will receive this code in your inbox.  Type it into the box and click Verify

  10. Your done.
